Mexican Flag
My flag, and the flag of my brothers
The green stands for the hope I have in my hands
The white stands for the purity of my people and
The red is for the blood, passion and union of the Mexicans,
With and eagle standing in a cactus
Devouring a Mexican snake
And her blood it’s Mexican too
Because it is multicolor
Red white and green
It stands out and
That’s what it makes it beautiful.

I really liked how you said the eagle’s blood was Mexican, because it isn’t something you would think of at first glance. Is there anything besides that it is just multicolor that makes it beautiful? I like the line the green stands for the hope, but why?

Praise:
I love the way that you describe each color and what it stands for. I like the passion that comes out of the poem.
Question:
Does the eagle in the cactus or the snake have Mexican blood??
Polish:
Just clear up the cactus question.
Very very good job! :]
